Mit Sport bin ich groß geworden. Nach jahrelangem Geräteturnen bin ich nicht zuletzt der Körperlänge wegen, vollends zum Handball gewechselt. 25 Jahre lang habe ich dabei sehr aktiv das Tor gehütet, ein Jahr sogar 2. Bundesliga, den Rest fast komplett in der Regionalliga (heute 3. Liga).

Nach meiner aktiven Laufbahn bot sich für mich ein großes Etwas: Freizeit. Die fülle ich heute neben sportlichen Aktivitäten, wie Fahrrad fahren, mit meiner großen Leidenschaft, der Fotografie aus. Dabei lässt mich der Sport nicht los, und so bleibe ich in Kontakt mit Wettkampf, Schweiß und Emotion.

Ein Amateur (französisch, von lateinisch 'amator' = 'Liebhaber‘) ist eine Person, die, im Gegensatz zum Profi, eine Tätigkeit aus Liebhaberei ausübt.

I grew up with sports. After years of artistic gymnastics I moved on to handball, not only because of being tall. For 25 years I very actively kept the goal. One year in the '2. Bundesliga' even, the rest of the time in the regional league (which is 3rd league today).

After my active career I faced a great something: leisure time. I fill it up with sporting activities like cycling but also with my great passion - the photography. Sport does not let go of me, though. So I'm staying in touch with competition, sweat and emotion.
